Computers and technology

Marlborough State School is well resourced with computers and technology. This includes:

  • 1 computer to every student

  • 12 iPads

  • wireless connectivity to provide flexible learning  

  • a large interactive tv (Activpanel)

  • laptops that can be integrated into class group work and help provide differentiated learning for individual students  

       

A range of digital tools and technologies are available to staff and students to provide opportunities to enhance learning and assist in the development of multimedia products. The digital tools include:

  • a digital video camera

  • digital cameras

  • headsets

  • Bee-Bots and mats – early years robotics tools. We have purchased a range of mats to allow students to solve problems with the bee bots by creating a visual code and then programming the bee bot to test the solution.

  • Easi-speak microphones

  • ipad apps to support curriculum eg Technology, visual arts, science. More ipads will be arriving in 2017. BYO ipads are also welcome. We want one device per student.
